"Identifying and Overcoming Discouragement"

Blogger: Wilhemenia Ozier

Why are you Discouraged?

When we are discouraged it often leads to frustration and doubting the word of God. In some instances, we fall into depression and feeling sorry for oneself leading to pity parties. We start to doubt the word of God!!! We sometimes are so discouraged we begin to doubt ourselves.

We doubt did God really speak to ME about _______ (Fill in the blank). We sometimes get so discouraged we forget the plans that God has revealed to us concerning our lives.

We get discouraged and we feel that we have failed and we do not feel confident in ourselves. We get discouraged and we look at ourselves physically, financially, mentally, emotionally in ways other than what the word of God tells US.

The word discouragement comes from the root word courage. The prefix dis- means "the opposite of." So, discouragement is the opposite of courage.

When we are discouraged, we have lost the motivation to press forward. Anything satan can do to get US to pay attention to our afflictions he will send those people and situations our way.

Therefore, I encourage you to dig up the root of anything that may have you bound and could be keeping you from fasting, praying and reaping the abundant harvest God has for your life.

The word of God teaches us …… It Is Written: Should become our answer to whatever the issue maybe that is causing us to be discouraged or depressed in this season. We can not be afraid to face the things in life that are discouraging us and playing on our emotions. We have to call out those spirits and pray against them from operating in our lives.

The Devil is Defeated and he has no authority!!!!!!!
"It Is Written"

Luke 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go."

2 Corinthians 12: 9 And he said unto me, my grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

We must be mindful that satan's mission all day every hour  24/7

365 days out of a year is to Kill, Steal, and Destroy.

If he can destroy you through discouragement…. that’s exactly the door he will go into. Do not get mad when satan completes his mission everyday.

We should ask ourselves have we completed our mission. Have we done what God has called our hands to do or maybe we are caught up in being discouraged?

Are we praying, worshipping, and reading the work of God? Why are you discourage? Satan is consistent he isn't  creative. We just allow him to enter our lives and situations through different open doors.

Stop getting frustrated!!!!!! Stay in position and do what God has told you to do. Speak Gods word and stay focused.
Encourage yourself…… Lean to be your biggest cheerleader.

The word is full of confessions that we can speak over ourselves daily:

 • No weapon formed against me shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against me in judgement I condemn (Isaiah 54:17)

 • I am established in righteousness and oppression is far from me. (Isaiah 54:14) • I overcome all because greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. (1 John 4:4)

• I shall decree a thing and it shall be established in my life. (Job 22:28)

• I have favor with God and man (Luke 2:28)

During this season stay steadfast and unmovable trust Gods Word.

At the end of each and every day God is in control of all things concerning each of us!
